Medc2u was created in 2021 because we believe that people would rather the care come to them when sick, instead of them going to the urgent care or the doctors office when in need of medical aide. This all started when a colleague of the founders got sick , but didn't want to travel to the urgent care, the doctors offices were closed and the ER was a bit expensive. After searching online for a few hours for a medical delivery system to accommodate his needs, and, non were available, we decided to do something about it and change the landscape of how and where care could be provided; This is why we started MEDC2U. We believe that this experience wasn't unique to just our friend or to myself. After conducting numerous interviews with people within our local market about their experiences when in need of aide, and the hassle that is involved in getting care, to include the time it takes out everyone's day to travel to the office to get care, it was quickly confirmed that we needed to change the current system by utilizing technology to create a centralized system that focused on customer convenience that could decrease the waiting time for care and deliver the care to that customer geolocation regardless of their location.
During our research into whether this was something that was more of a want versus a need, we also realized that public transportation is used 34 million times each weekday which means that there are millions of people who rely on public transportation to get from point A to point B and no one should be faced with catching a bus or whatever type of public transportation while in pain or sick, to go see a medical practitioner at the urgent care facilities or doctors office when we could use technology to deliver that care directly to their location.
We didn't like moving around while sick or in pain, and we understand that you too don't like moving around while sick and in pain and our goal is to deliver the care you need at the same cost as visiting or traveling somewhere else to receive care but without the hassle that normally comes with it.
